For those traveling from the U.S. , it is highly recommended to fly from a European city (Paris, Frankfurt, London) which all have direct flights to Chennai (MAA). Otherwise, most airlines will route you to New Delhi and then require another flight to Chennai. Make it easy on yourself with softer landings directly into Chennai.
